I've had Nicodemus as a feline companion for about eleven and a half years. He's slightly over 12 years of age. He's been having a problem with his urinary tract, or something related to it, for quite some time. Things being as they are, I did not and do not have the funds to have him checked out properly, nor do I have the funds for future medication and such. A couple of close friends (one has had a cat in similar straits and she died painfully; the other works at an animal hospital....to which all three of my animals are patients) feel that my best option would be to put him to sleep.

Wow....typing that did not seem all that bad; however, I've been crying all afternoon since I made the appointment at my girlfriend's animial hospital. I'm going to miss the teetotal shit out of him. He's been a steadfast friend for over 11 years. He's been with me through all kinds of shit: me being abused, countless moves, all three children, and now the dissolution of my marriage. You can't buy that kind of love, loyalty, steadfastedness and friendship. Granted, I have that in friends, as well....I realize that, but this is not about my human friends (though I love you all) this is about a much beloved friend to whom I must say good bye. There....now the damn tears have fricking started up again. Hah!

So, to those of you who understand what I must be going through...please leave a few kind words....He and I, both, will be ever so grateful and appreciative. Hugs and kisses to you all and face rubs to all you felines out there. To the kitties and cats in heaven....open your gates, a world weary and well traveled warrior is coming home....

Well....let's see....I thought I might have had a chance at something really wonderful with this guy I met online. I'm a lil disappointed it didn't pan out, but that's ok. I'm a big girl and besides....his loss, not mine, ya know? Hee!

I'm just busy catching up on the 'net and keeping in touch w/friends AND I've got a HUGE ass pile of clothes to fold and almost as much to clean and then fold! LOL!

 Good morning! It's a beautiful Sunday morning over here....there's a crispness to the morning. I just LOVE that feel....heehee! I'm going to make brunch for me and the kids in a bit, first gotta shower and start getting ready for church. Not sure what fixins we'll have for brunch...biscuits, eggs, bacon or maybe sausage....ummm...maybe muffins instead of biscuits? I'll figure it out in a minute. LOL!

I've also got laundry to do, later, and flowers to plan in the window boxes. Just because I don't have a yard, does not mean I cannot have a garden! Hah! So there! LOL! I've a gorgeous frondy fern, a hanginng basket with impatients and gerber daisies and some other flowers for the window boxes. Most of them are only annuals, but they'll last for a few....and that's all you want with window boxes, anyway, ya know?

Hmmm...that's it for now, haven't heard from "honey" in a coupla days, but I'm sure I will as soon as he's able. That sort of thing goes with the territory, as many of my gurrls out there know. I'm gonna jet for now, I'll drop in again later! Have a beautiful Sunday, I know we will!
